How to watch Winter Olympics 2014 online, TV schedule and more
If you want to see the United States face Canada for hockey gold, you're in luck -- here's how to watch.
It's arguably the first great day of medaling in the Olympics. You can watch competitors go for the gold in women's curling, women's figure skating and women's ice hockey on Thursday.
The main event comes at noon (ET), when the United States and Canada face off (that's a hockey term) for the gold medal in women's hockey. The two teams met in the preliminary round, where Canada upended the Americans, 3-2, and this is the gold medal match the women's hockey world deserved.
The joy continues for Canada as the women's curling team faces unbeaten Sweden for the gold medal at 5 p.m. ET on CNBC (it's tape-delayed). The two teams met in Vancouver in 2010 with gold on the line as well; Sweden prevailed.
And if figure skating's your thing -- it's a lot of people's thing -- the women's individual competition wraps up with the free skate, which will be featured prominently on NBCSN as it happens live late in the morning and then during prime time coverage. The breathtaking Yuna Kim of South Korea holds a slim lead over Russian Adelina Sotnikova and Italian Carolina Kostner, while American Gracie Gold sits in a distant fourth place.
Seriously, a great day for gold medals. Enjoy.
