Talking Horses: Kempton tips in our daily horse racing blog

Punters should wait until the very last race of the day, under the floodlights at Kempton, to find Tuesday's best bet. Rock Up (9.20) , who won with something in hand at Bath last time and has performed well over this track and tripis the horse in question. Over the jumps, Annacotty (3.40) makes some appeal at Chepstow. He looks far from over burdened on his hurdles form for this first race over fences and already has experience of the point-to-point sphere.
Tipping competition, day two
Our winners so far:
Monday
Camerooney 22-1
Sporting Boy 15-2
Compton Prince 33-1
And our leaders are:
ToffeeDan1, sandiuk, 23skidoo, SmokingGun1, GForce1, yasmin11
. . . who all had Sporting Boy. Nobody found Camerooney or Compton Prince, which is probably just as well, if anyone else was to have a chance for the rest of the week.
Today, we'd like your selections, please, for these races: 3.40 Chepstow, 5.00 Ayr, 6.50 Kempton.
This week's prize is a copy of Refusal, by Felix Francis, featuring the return to action of Sid Halley, who first appeared in a Dick Francis book almost 50 years ago. In his latest outing, he is tasked with investigating some suspicious results by the chairman of the BHA, who comes to a sticky end the next day . . . If you don't win, buy a copy here.
As ever, our champion will be the tipster who returns the best profit to notional level stakes of £1 at starting price on our nominated races, of which there will be three each day up until Friday. Non-runners count as losers.
If you have not already joined in this week, you can do so today, but you will start on -3.
In the event of a tie at the end of the week, the winner will be the tipster who, from among those tied on the highest score, posted their tips earliest on the final day.
